Iowa School Administrators!
Welcome back to a new school year!
I’m Wendy Parker, a former BD teacher, building administrator, district Special Education Director, and AEA Special Education Director. I’m excited to invite you to a one-day workshop designed to help districts navigate the significant shifts in Iowa’s special education service delivery system and create practical plans for moving forward.
This highly interactive session will provide:
An overview of current and upcoming changes in special education
* Guidance on funding, staffing, and accessing supports beyond the AEA
* Strategies for analyzing district data to identify effective services
* Planning time to develop next steps tailored to your district
* Tools for advocating for your needs in a system where collaboration can feel limited
Our goal is for each participant to leave with a clear, actionable plan to support staff, strengthen services, and better meet student needs in light of these changes.
